why this Program?
- Seeks to fill the time-gap that occurs between completion of high school and commencement of tertiary/vocational education.
- Help in making youth remain positive and healthy members of the society by not involving themselves with vices like alcohol and drug abuse etc.
Out-of-School Training Package [Curriculum]
This is a short program for the high school leavers as they wait to join their respective college/ university/ vocational training centres
Applied over a four months period, the program takes cohorts through the following modules.
- Information Communication Technology (ICT).
- Career Selection and development Planning.
- Life skills such as: Effective Communication, Goal setting, Leadership, Drug and alcohol abuse, Relationships, critical thinking, etiquette, CV writing, Public Speaking, Personal branding, Good Citizenry, Art of persuasion, negotiation skills.
- Personal finance management and planning.
- Entrepreneurship and business development.
Modes of Training
Through out this training, we provide an opportunity for the participants to experience a variety of learning methods which include:
- Classroom style trainings,
- Individualized mentorship and coaching
- Internship or entry-level job placement,
- Community volunteerism.
